So I don't know what's wrong with this computer.
It has an AMD Neo Dual Core processor and AMD Radeon 3200 HD Graphics.
I did a clean reinstall with all the original restore discs and got rid of all the HP Bloatware crap like usual and gave it to my brother... however, the fans never turn on.
Playing League of Legends it overheats then shuts off by itself. I tried installing Speedfan and manually setting the fans higher, but that does nothing.
I ran Windows update and updated to the latest catalyst drivers also.
Even running basic internet it gets SUPER hot...

Make sure the fan is plugged in properly, sometimes the connector can mess up a little.

Have you cleaned the inside of the computer for dust and other debris?

I will tear it apart and see the connection and clean it out.
I did this about 5 months ago, but I will do it again. Thanks for the help thus far. -
If you end up pulling out the fan to check the connection, while you're at it you may as well hook it up to a battery pack or something to make sure it actually works. The bearing could be shot or something.
Provided you use less than or equal the voltage it says on the fan you won't run the risk of frying it. They can usually take like 1.5-2 times the voltage they're rated at though but that will reduce the lifespan hugely or just blow the whole thing if you push it too far.
