    Yes you can. Shouldnt be a prblem with compaibilty but accessing the cpu is going to be tough and you will essentially have to dismantle the laptop thus voiding any warranty.

    Yes, you can upgrade, but you may require a BIOS update if the notebook was purchased before Core 2 Duo was released. However, upgrading will void the warranty of the notebook. Also, unless you are performing processor dependant tasks on the computer, like video editing or encoding, a processor upgrade will generally not increase speed. This is because something else is the limiting factor, or because the task already requires such low processor power.
