I have a couple questions about this laptop,

    1. I know it can support 4GB of ram with a 64bit OS but I have heard rumors of it being able to support 8GB with the new Bios can someone confirm this.

    2. Can this laptop support 2 500GB hardrives http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148374 or if someone can suggest better HD's please do so

    3. Is the cpu upgradeable in this laptop?

    4. Is the GPU upgradeable?

    Thanks

    1. don't know if it can support 8GB but you probably won't notice a difference if you already have 4GB

    2. Yes, there is no restriction on the capacity of the HDD it can support

    3. Yes, CPU is upgradeable (unless you already have the highest end model)

    4. No, GPU is NOT upgradeable

    Thanks for the reply :)

Currently it has the Centrino core 2 duo 2.0ghz where would I be able to find the max processor chip that it can upgrade too?

Your current CPU won't tell you your max. Download CPU-Z, find the chipset and go to Intel's ARK to see what processors it supports.

If I'm reading this correct my chipset is Mobile Intel® PM965 Express Chipset and should be able to support: Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor X7900 (4M Cache, 2.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Depends what your budget it and what you are using the CPU for. Again, like the 8GB of memory, if you aren't already stressing your current CPU then further upgrades will give you very little return. What is your current CPU?

Intel Centrino core 2 duo T7300 2.0ghz, I use the laptop for graphics design, video encoding and gaming so it has been placed under some stress
