    Hello,

As we know HP EliteBook 8740w has QM57 chip (not like most of another mobile workstations that have PM57). Is it possible to use in 8740w integrated Intel graphics without discrete graphics at all?

Can try enabling integrated graphics (0:2.0) using baredit. I would assume latest drivers would then allow you to choose which you want active, so will then direct graphics via one of the gpus to the LCD. Extract below is from PM965/PM45 chipset datasheet as series-5 doesn't have it.

I assume this has been done with the GM965 and GM45 since the PM series had no integrated graphics, though I'm not sure how it would differ with the new CPUs as the integrated graphics are no longer on the motherboard.
