Just purchased my first laptop - the HP G60t. It's coming by mail in 7 days or so, but as I'm look through the specifications I realize I ordered a 64-bit operating system with 3 GB DDR2 memory. Will this pose a problem? Can I upgrade memory afterward? Also, I opted for the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD rather than the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GE graphics card. Is there a huge difference between the two?

To recap, here are the specs of the comp I've purchased followed by my most pressing questions:

    - HP G60t ($629.00)
-Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
    - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T6600 (2.2GHz)
    - FREE Ugprade to 3GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) from 1GB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm)
    - FREE Upgrade to 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive from 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    - Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD - For Core 2 Duo Processors
    - 16.0" diagonal High Definition HP Brightview Display (1366x768)
    - SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
    - Microphone + Webcam
    - Wireless-G Card
    - HP Color Matching Keyboard
    - 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    - Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
    - HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope

    Questions:
1.) Will 64-bit Vista cause issues with 3GB of memory? Can I upgrade memory if it is an issue?
2.) Is there a noticible difference between the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GE graphics cards?

I am in no way technically savvy when it comes to computers, so I would greatly appreciate help!

    Thank you!

The 64bit OS will actually allow you to utilize more than 4GB of memory... so if you decide to upgrade the memory (implying that you can upgrade the memory, probably up to 8GB) it's really a benefit, not a liability.

The 9200M is maybe about twice as fast as the X4500, but you won't be able to do much gaming on either, and you won't be notice a difference in any other task... so there's really not much to be concerned about, imo.

Good news about the RAM and OS. And there won't be much of a difference between the graphics cards, huh? Well that will definitely save me the time and frustration I would have spent trying to make a return!

Thank you very much for your help! This is one of the more straightforward responses I've seen on here!

Has anyone figured out what exactly the 9200M GE is? Is it the 9100M G integrated and dedicated 9200M GS working together in GeForceBoost?
