    Hi Folks,

I'm on an HP Pavilion DV1000 series (actual model is DV1207us). Specs on this model are at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=c00302859&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
All I've had done is upgrade the memory to 1.5GB. Otherwise it is still pretty much in out-of -the box status.

I've installed Vista Home Premium and now would like to upgrade my video card to support the Aero experience.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to where to start looking for one, the installation procedure, etc.? I'm comfortable upgrading and working on desktop PC's but this will be my first time attempting to modify a laptop on my own.

All other aspects of Vista are running just fine at the moment.

Below are some details about the PC I'm on.

Thanks everyone! Any advice is much appreciated.

    -Jason

I'm afraid Aero won't run on it.

    Thanks for your help folks.

I had a feeling that was the case!

At least I have a good excuse to buy a new laptop...

Well, maybe not a good excuse, but an excuse anyway.

    Thanks again,
    -Jason

Areo is all show anyways, while when I move to vista I want it. I could easily live without it.
