Hi Everyone:
I purchased a DV5T 1000 Entertainment in Jan. of 2009. I broke the screen some time last year. I have been using an external monitor since. I am not deciding to fix it and order a new screen but I am having a problem and wondering if someone can give me a hand in figuring this out.
So I took part the laptop to see if anything was broken from the fall. The webcam still works and everything else so I only need a new display. HP place stickers inside of the laptop so you know what part is needed.
The sticker for the screen shows a part number of: 484367-001. I go to the hp site to look it up and it tells me: 15.4-inch TFT WSXGA (Wide Super eXtended Graphics Adapter) display panel - With Bright View (BV) feature (Onyx color).
On the receipt that they emailed me when I purchased the laptop the type of display they have listed is: 15.4 Diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
Are these two the same of are they different screens? The screen I have now has a pink and white wire that goes into this plastic and becomes 1 that connect to the inverter on the right side.
This has confused me for the past 2 days..![]()
Can someone please lend me a hand and help me figure this out? Any Ideas?
Thank you kindly and in advance

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Googling 484367-001 shows it as a WSXGA+ 15.4" screen indeed. Most likely it is the place where you bought it from has the wrong information. The screen is the same aspect ratio and same dimensions so it should work anyway. Generally Partsurfer will list a different P/N for a higher resolution screen.
