    Hello!

I am currently having some troubles with my HP Pavilion dv5t-1000 laptop. This is the T9400 Intel processor laptop. Unfortunately the cooling fan is dead (or will be dead within few days). It needs to be replaced with something new. Another problem is that I am not going to spend too much money on the accessories (I had enough troubles with this laptop) and would like to buy cheap fan. My main question is whether cooling fans for AMD and Intel configurations are different. In other words- can buy cooling system for AMD configuration and put it into Intel configuration? Keep in mind that only thing I really need is a fan, not the whole cooling system.
    thanks for all your replies.

    Atalin.

Your best bet is to order the original part.

Go to partsurfer.hp.com and punch in the model part number (looks like this RV322UA#ABA) and find the cooling fan P/N. Normally it is about 60 bucks from HP but be wary you have to tear apart your ENTIRE notebook to replace the cooling fan.
