    Hello guys :

Im new to this amazing forum, Im saying its amazing since it really helped me alot, and I registered to be part of you.

anyways, I bought the above mentioned notebook, with 160 GB HDD, GeForce 7400 (128), 1 GB RAM, BUT..... I was shocked from the battery life, in extreme saving mode I get 1 Hr 30 M. (THATS IT) I swear, I went to supplier changed my battery pack (6-Cells), and I get the same exact thing 1:30 Hr/m, it was really shocking, I thought at the time I bought it it would be atleast 2:30 Hr/m.

when I tested the wear level for both batterries it was 40%, even the new replacement battery I got, it was 37%, tested by Notebook Hardware Control 2.0 NHC.

Here is the deal, I want to replace my NB with XPS M1330, they claim 6:30 Hr/m, everywhere, when I read many reviews that said so...

But here in NBReview forum, the guys are saying that they are getting 3:30 to 4 Hr, WHOM TO BELIEVE, the 6:30 Hr/m claimed by a standard (6-Cells) Battery Pack.

Please advise, MY FIRST AND ONLY CONCERN IS BATTERY when it comes to a Notebook that I want to have, and since I read about the Dell XPS M1330, Im so Excited to get it, but when I read the reviews here, I just dont know whome to believe, I dont mind that the Dell is 3:30 H/m but not less.

I use it mostly for WiFi and web-surfing, This is also the case with my HP

Thanx alot to all of you

An XPS is for gaming, so if you arnet its unnesesary. And overpriced. An IBM/Levono has excellent reputation for Battery Life. And isnt for unessesary gaming perposes. A thinkpad would be good for you.
    Hope I Could Help

The reason why you're falling short of the manufacturer's claim is b/c laptop makers base their battery times on a system that just idles for the whole time; the laptop just sits until the battery runs out.

Thanx alot for your reply, but Im sorry, I forgot to mention 2 things:
    1. I must use a 4-MB Cache Based Processor thats T7200 / T7300 CPU cuz I need a powerful CPU to run some Video/Audio Conversions.

    2. also I care to have a Nice Looking and LIGHT NB, thats why I want to move from 15.4" to the 13.3"

IBM Performs very well, but looks Errrrr.
