I'm having problems with my HP pavillon G60 laptop. A few days ago, i downloaded a spyware removal tool, which i think infected my laptop with the background of " your computer is infected". I've since then been able to remove and background and said account from which i downloaded the spyware tool, so for the most part my computer is running fine. After each scan it's reported nothing harmful on my laptop and that all is working fine. However, after i use it for a period of time, it is unresponsive. The mouse will move but whatever is on the screen is frozen. The only way i've been able to work around this is using the emergency shut down, which i know is harmful to the computer but all other tactics in the manual don't work. I deleted the account from which i downloaded an untrust worthy spyware removal, tool but not all files since the largest was Itunes, had it told me that if i was to delete said Itunes folder is would affect my other accounts.
    Help Please. Thanks a lot.

Sorry to tell you, but you can't do a partial virus cleanup.

Either you scan again and let it remove whatever it finds (even in the iTunes folder) or re-install your O/S (after you backup your data somewhere).

My recommendation is that you're probably wasting your time trying to fully clean your system: do a clean install and be done.

If you do want to waste a few hours:

Disable System Restore completely, disconnect from the internet and run the best A/V you can to clean your system (and let it clean it fully this time).

    Good luck.
