Hello, I'm planning to buy 430 g2 broadwell version with HDD. I want to add m.2 SSD and replace 3160 Intel wireless card. To begin with the SSD, I've read I need 2242 Sata III, are these for sure compatible with the notebook? Which should I pick, or maybe is there another even better one, that will not be expensive?
    Adata SSD Premier SP600 M.2 2242 128GB SATA3
    Transcend SSD M.2 2242 128GB SATA3 MTS400

And which wireless card would be best to get? From what I know HP does not use whitelisting anymore, so any should work. There is only 1 antenna in the notebook, is it easy to add another or maybe 2 for 3 antennas cards? I hear only about Intel cards, will just the newest
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 be best choice? Thanks for any suggestions.

Antennas won't be easily added. And AC not doable easily due to that.

Do you mean it's gonna require a lot of disassembly or case could not be prepared for it? Similar model, probook 430 g1 had 2, so probably there is space to put second one

There was even space for HSPA+ card and its antennas in the old one

2 antennas likely very doable, may need more advanced disassembly (you appear to know how). 3 antennas which a lot of A cards use would take some modifications.

I have bought the notebook finally but I'm confused. Isn't intel 3160 supposed to have 1 antenna if it's 1x1? Mine has 2. I think I will leave the stock card, shouldn't perform that bad if it isn't cheapest 1 antenna card

Did you look at the HP Service Manual for your Laptop. That should be the first place to look as that is where the Service Manual is at and there it will tell you which wifi you can fit into your laptop.

Yes, get the service manual for it. HP should have it as a download on the site in PDF format.
