I am looking into upgrading my hard drive from 120G to 250. The original drive is Samsung HM120JI and the one I am looking at is Samsung HM250JI. I have contacted both Samsung("check with manufacturer") and HP. I still don't have a clear answer. Will the new drive fit? Will I need to make an image of my old drive and will I be able to load it onto the new one? Why can't I use the OS on my recovery disks, I paid for it? Thank you, Keith

I'm not sure if the drive will fit, but sure, make an image of your current OS thats on you 120G hd. Save it on an external drive.

You didn't mention what OS you are using.........

Win XP MCE. So if the drive fits physically then I only need to create an image of my current drive/OS before swapping the two?
