    Hi All,
    I am upgrading my HP dv4000 (4170US) laptop to add additional 1GB RAM. Only the upper slot is being recognized. If I put the 1GB in the upper slot the total memory is shown as 1GB. If I put it in the lower slot it only shows 512M (The old slot). I had two memory sticks already installed initially and it always shows it 512M. I know other folks on the forum have upgraded it to 1.5GB.. Please help,
