Hi All,
Recently I just bought a HP dv9000t. I was working with a budget at the time so when I bought it, I opted for these specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 (1.6ghz)
Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 (256MB)
2gig of ram.
First off, as a gaming machine, I guess I'd like opinions on what people think. Will this machine run games good? Will they be slow? I guess also how much eye candy will I get out of games with this setup.
Now if that processor won't cut it, can the processor be upgraded. Aka can I do it myself, never having upgraded a laptop before. I'm used to desktops and putting them together, just never owned a laptop before.
Thanks for any help or opinions!
Terry

For gaming, the graphics card is more important than the processor, and the graphics card is a good enough for most modern day games. Although it won't be able to play them with all the settings on maximu, it can give you more than playable frame rates. The processor can be upgrade, but its more than enough at the moment. In notebooks, upgrading the processor will void the warranty, and its much harder to do in a notebook, than a desktop.
