I'm new to messing with computer parts. I broke my screen and need a new one ASAP. Since becoming a photographer I've noticed how terrible the stock screen was for what I'm trying to do... So I'm wondering if any of you can give me some insight as to what screen upgrade options I may have. Is there a way I can get a 1080p IPS display in this thing? If not, what are my best options for decent color reproduction?

    Thanks,
    steve

    Based on the model provided:

    HP PartSurfer

There were never any 1080p options on this HP model, and likely it would be fitted with a 30 pin LVDS cable making any 1080p upgrade impossible.

    Use an external monitor.

I thought that might be the case... And I take it there's no sort of cable adapters or anything available for this purpose?

External monitor was exactly what I was thinking next, tsunade.
