    Hi Guys!

    well there is an option in my BIOS that allows me to set my processor's HPET... well what is HPET? what dose it do? and what value should i set it on? there are like 3~4 values....like 0x0100 0x0200 0x0300 0x0400 or something like that......

    It's a hardware timer that replaces the real time clock and the traditional 8254 timer, and adds another 30 timers on top of that. Unless you know what you're doing, you probably shouldn't mess with BIOS settings regarding it. It may or may not mess up how your operating system's kernel understands time.
