    Hi All,

I ordered a Laptop with a Seagate XT 7200RPM NCQ Hybrid but I was told it would be 2 weeks or so until the part comes in. I was thinking I could upgrade to a 160GB Intel X25-M Solid State Drive and probably get the laptop quicker.

The laptop is for gaming and software design (for school and work) so I would need a HD that can handle that. Is that a good drive for gaming? Or should I just wait the 2 weeks for the hybrid?

    Thanks!

Any HD will handle your needs, but what is the price differences between the two options?

With what I know, I would wait for the XT.

The Seagate XT will not offer improvements for game loading times. The Intel SSD will.

the SSD will be faster than the hard drive and cost way more... if u need space, ur better off waiting for the XT... if u want speed and don't mind the extra cost and don't need much space , i'd get the SSD.. ur choice.
