I bought a new hard disk from ebay to upgrade my Acer Travelmate 2490 notebook. I opened the hard disk cover then slide out the hard disk with its holder. I was trying to unscrew the holder's screws but it was really a difficult and painstaking job. I was managed to unscrew 3 of them and left with one damaged-head screw and a holder with a couple of twists and bumps. So, the holder is out of order now.

Anyone knows where to finde an Acer Travelmate 2490 hard disk holder? I tried ebay but I couldn't find anything.

    Thank you.

This PDF(list of FRU), lists the HDD caddy as Acer Part No : 33.TAVV5.003 . Google that part number and it should give you some online stores.

Alternatively, some sites like this one has a decent set of pictures for different ACER caddies(the 2490 caddy should be used in other models), so you could try matching it that way...
