    In percentage terms, how much faster will programs load (i.e. Chrome, Microsoft Office, machine booting) in a 16 MB cache hard drive vs. an 8 MB cache hard drive?

    Both hard drives are 7200 RPM.

    The fastest 7200rpm hard drives this moment are:

    1. Seagate XT Momentus (by far the fastest)
    2. WD Scorpio Black 500GB
    3. Hitachi 7K500 500GB
    4. Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB

    The soon to be released Seagate 7200.5 750GB might take the number 2 position.
