I put a WD scorpio sata hard drive in my laptop about a month ago, everything is ok,but on WD SUPPORT PAGE i noticed there were jumpers,(default,RPS,SSC),should i just leave it alone or do i need to change jumper?
-
leave them alone. Generally speaking, SSC addresses possible EMI issues, generally only for very sensitive work areas, RPS is for external drives.
-
Just leave them be, if everything is working fine, there is no need to go fiddling around.
-
best advice for stuff ur not sure about: leave it alone... twiddling with it can cause more problems only...
-
Changing the jumpers could effect the performance of the drive also... The way you have it is the correct way.
