I just really noticed it today. I first had 20 GBs, I installed one program (after extracting it from a RAR which came from a DVD) and I had 1 GB HDD space remaining. But after looking wasting time researching the problem, I now have 5 GBs. Could it be a virus, my virus scan shows nothing (using AVG). Or is Windows being a ***** and storing it in the temp, and delete the files ever so slowly.

Try using CCleaner (ccleaner.com) to clean your temp files etc, sometimes it will find GBs of stuff to delete.

Have you got system restore enabled? You might wanna do some research into it, I decided I didn't want it on, and it freed up about 20GB

    2GBs, and Vista.

And I didn't know that was possible. But still, wouldn't it delete it immediately after usage? Guess not. >_>
