May I ask what laptops these are? If they are the same price, I'd gladly take the 1900res w/ the 9800gts. This is also dependent on the size of the screen, but the 1900 is Widescreen HD and the desktop icons and text will be significantly smaller.

I am assuming you are looking at the Gateway P7805u and the Sager NP5793. Right from the start, Id reccommend the Sager. Better build quality, no tax, good warranty, blu-ray.

This is the Sager I assume you're talking about, this is also one of the two that I'm trying to decide between.
    Sager NP5793 Custom Sager Notebook

The screen quality won't matter too much between the 1680 and the 1900 unless you are a hardcore gamer or like to watch high-def videos.

    17" Sager Laptop Computer

I'm guessing that is the Ebay Auction? It looks pretty good, but if you're willing to spend a little more, you can buy the NP5793 brand new with a 3-year warranty. I'm just the kind of guy who likes to play it safe :D.

Still, I'd consider your Sager over the Gateway more bang for the buck and has a nice T9550 processor. Really can't beat that price.

I agree the Sager has better perks compared to the Gateway, they do have good quality video output compared to Gateway's..

I would take a Gateway FX series laptop over any clevo based system. My run in with Clevo was absolutely terrible. I never recommend their product because of it. Go with the Gateway P6868, 7811 series systems they have the best bang for the buck and are proven to be reliable machines
