    Hi!

I bought a new Hitachi SATA HDD for my notebook (in my sig), and now I'm told I need a hard-disk casing and an inter-poser card  to install it.

I know how a casing can be needed, but what about the inter-poser card? What is it used for? Is it necessary? Do I HAVE to buy in from DELL, as they claim?

Also, the connectors (??) on my hard-disk do not match the connectors on my notebook, you know the power and IDE ones. The old drive, I just had to put it there and push it down, and it'd be done, but it won't be possible with this one. There is black plastic on the top of the connectors, thus covering them, and making it impossible to be pushed down. What do I do?
