I have a notebook; and when I run CuteFTP or Civilization 4; my harddisk begin to make a... harsh sound or a grinding sound; it's specially noisy.

It will make that sound until I reboot, and when I reboot all things become normal. (until I run CuteFTP or Civ4)

What do you think is the problem?

It's only when I run CuteFTP and Civilization4. Like I said previously, the sound stop when I reboot the computer.

I have many many other games, software, movie, etc... I nothing make the sound appear.

    I'll run a surface scan.

If any people have some ideas I would be thankful.
