I have a HP dv9548us. I rarely use my DVD Writer. I want to have one more HD apart from my existing dual HD's. Can I put a HD in DVD rom place and use the port for DVD Drive in mother board for harddisk. Is that possible anyone tried this.

I doubt you can fit another hard disk there.. For one, the power supply connectors are probably not standard. And you might have to make a custom support for the drive, if you sort the power supply/interface issues out..

    No it will not work.

Alot of modification will need to be done even if its possible.

    Just get bigger hard drives.
