The Hitachi 7K200 at 200GB will utilize both of its platters, while the 100Gb only utilizes 1 of its disks. A hard drive with 2 disks has a higher sustained transfer rate than one with nnly one disk.

I have 2 Hitachi 7K200 200Gb drives in my Voodoo and I love them they are super fast in Raid 0.
