i installed bootcamp about 3 months ago, and its worked great on my imac. Now i've installed like 4 games or so, and i do check my hardrive space pretty often. now im not sure how it got to 30g suddenly know when i look at it. The only things that are taking up space are "steam" which is taking up 4.5 gigs, "GTA San Andreas" taking up 4.5 gigs about, and doom 3 taking up about 1.5 gigs. this doesn't make any sence. it should be only a bout 11gigs full. how can i find out whats taking up this enormous amount of space? thanks

You have Windows? Make sure you don't have System Restore Points being automatically generated. That'll chew up disk space in a heartbeat. I don't remember how to disable it offhand, but I'm pretty sure that's what's invisible and eating up space. Check to see how big your Windows folder is.

ah i actualy found out what 11 of it was, and it was just files that i had never downloaded so i deleted them, now im down to 21. i know im using 15 with games. and i used a program to look whats taking up space. my windows folder's taking up 1.5 gigs, and there is this one odd file in my "files" folder, called "pagefile.sys" that is taking up 1.5 gig and i looked at the creation date and it was created january 16, 2007, and im not sure what it is. but when i try to delete it or throw it away it says its in use by another program and i closed all my programs, so i'm not sure what it is. anyone know?

Is there any way of changing sytemrestore points, like how far back they go?

    Edit: found it, never mind.

A page file is just HDD space used as memory. To disable it, go to control panel, system, advanced, performance. Go to the advanced tab and click on change under virtual memory.

You do not want to disable the page file, because it will have a direct impact on the performance of your machine. 1.5GB for a page file sounds good enough. You should leave it at that, unless you want to effect your computer's performance.

Make sure you delete the hibernation files if you have it enabled. The size of the file is roughly the same amount as your physical RAM.
