    Hey all,

I built this PC 8 years ago. Has been running well up until this past month. The I have a total of 6 USB ports (2 in front).

The ones in front do not work anymore. Apparently one of my hard drives also is about to fail because it has bad sectors on it or something.

I'm almost certain it's not a software related issue. Installing Vista and 7 produce the same hardware problems. At times, when I plug in headphones, the WHOLE COMPUTER freezes up.

Anyway, is there a computer program to diagnose the particular problem I'm having? I want to pinpoint the source. I also need to decide whether I can still work on this computer and whether or not it's time to move on...

    Thanks!
