    Hello,

I would like to buy DELL E1505 Dual Core laptop with 1GB RAM.
Is this sufficient for SAP or should I go for 2GB RAM. Could any help me to find hardware requirements for SAP. Thank you

If you could define SAP, I could try and help you out.

I use SAP daily with just 512mb RAM on my office computer but we have more than 1,000 computers in the network, so maybe the server bears the greatest labor. In any case 1gb will be enough, imo.

to the rest: "SAP is the world's largest business software company and the world's third-largest independent software provider overall", http://www.sap.com/company/index.epx

Really, SAP is for big companies, what windows is for computer users. Another example how a great idea could earn millions.

your question is not answerable because SAP is a backend solution.

SAP runs on a server and you connect to it via a frontend from your personal computer.

because the frontend (and backend) are all custom solutions, there's no way to know what will run what without specific specs on both your computer and the SAP solution you're running.

luckily, the frontend is usually pretty thin so you shouldn't have any problems, but i can't say for sure.

if you're asking if it will run the backend of SAP, then no, it can't.

to the OP: if you're running SAP, then you must have an IT dept. they are who you want to ask, not a forum.
