    How is important does upgrading the firmware of the hardware? You see, I am want to get of the most of my notebook. Also, what hardware's firmware can be upgrade?

    usually just things like cd drives, bluetooth devices etc..
    other things like video cards and motherboards use a BIOS instead.
    it's almost always worth upgrading

    Some times its worth it to upgrade as it gets rid of glitches and also helps performance sometimes, but if its not acting up, then the update isnt needed.

    Yea sometimes newer versions can lead to compatibilty issues, so my advice is if it aint broke...
