I bought stuff from the site referred by Pricewatch without any problems. One thing to remember is, sometimes price on Pricewatch and actual seller may be different, but if you call/or leave a note in comments, almost all those give prices to pricewatch honor the pricing. But do not forget to check the ratings for individual seller as Pricewatch more kind of advertised price guarantee, not service.

And sometime, shipping info is for several units, so check that out too.

I have purchased many items using pricewatch as a referral.
I use to make my own computers and bought many barebone systems from companies linked through them, Even Newegg is linked through pricewatch so YMMV on good companies and bad ones.
Just remember you sometimes get what you pay for.

True indeed. Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it. I was looking to buy a harddrive off of one of there referrals but after reading the reviews, I had to reconsider.

I've found that pricewatch was mostly only beneficial when purchasing older style equipment(smaller hard drives or technology not quite as current, like SDRAM or something) or boutique equipment that many shops don't carry.

The more mainline products aren't usually offered at a substantial savings and often have ridiculous shipping charges or poor ratings for the resellers.

I've bought from sellers found through Pricewatch, though I am always cautious about those dealers. I usually check out the dealer through resellerratings.com to see what kind of feedback they have. If it's poor, no way do I deal with them regardless of how good their deal was. As with any online purchase from an unknown dealer, find out as much as possible as you can about the dealer first before trusting them with your money. Peace of mind has some value, too, and oftentimes a few extra dollars paid to a dealer with a good public reputation is money well spent.
