To say, create the effect of a backlit keyboard ? I'm thinking of doing that so I can type with the lights off.
Kinda with something like these -
Glowing Keyboard Stickers - Glowing Keyboards, Luminous Keyboards
My laptop's the Asus N45SF btw.

I just think it would look tacky, unless it's very carefully applied. Not to mention may wear quickly on the most commonly used keys.

It'd be better to get stickers sized for your particular laptop's keys (not sure if those exist, but custom skins do, so...). Those stickers seem to be for desktop keyboards, which often have a curve to the top of the keys. Not sure how nicely the fit and finish will be if you apply them to your laptop's apparently flat keys.

Found a few more -
Glow-Key
Glowing Keyboard Stickers | Glowing Keyboard | Glow in the dark Keys for Keyboards
I thought someone would have attempted this long ago. Seems like a nifty alternative to a backlit keyboard. -
Hey it seems like a nice and innovative idea. But i prefer the second link that you shared more than the stickers. Because once you remove the stickers all the keys will be so sticky and ugly. At least this glow thingy will give it a cool and awesome look plus you can use it for back lighting as well.

Has anyone here ever replaced their keyboard keys with luminous ones ?
