    Okay

    1. Which one is the better buy the T8300 or the E7000 forget the code but it's clock speed is at 2.66.
    2. I keep seeing that under T8300 it says mobile, can I still use it for the computer I'm building?
    3. I have a vista laptop and want to use that license on my built computer, can I just take the key and enter it? And if I could how will I get the cd to install vista?

    Thanks a lot

actually, clock speeds on the E7000 is 2.53Ghz, vs 2.4 for the T8300. They are not for the same market. T8300 is for mobile platform, E7000 is desktop. Different pin configurations, it doesn't fit regular desktop motherboards.

You can only have Vista on one machine, and it belongs on the laptop as it is not retail version (I'm assuming it came with the laptop).

Oh ok thanks, someone told me that since i have XP on my desktop that i can use it on my new built computer. I assume the same with the laptop vista. BTW the code was E7300, whats the best C2D for a desktop? And is Penryn only for laptops?

You'd be looking at the E8xx series, E8600 being the fastest, and the X6800 is an extreme CPU w/an unlocked multiplier. (You'll be better off discussing all this at www.desktopreview.com)

Yeah, Penryn is a mobile core.
