i bought 2 2gb DDR2 (suppose to be 667mghz) memory modules.... i installed them then ran CPU-Z... it says my Dram frequency is 327-330 and max bandwidth is 333.... have i been taken?... shouldnt it be twice that?

My laptop is a Toshiba Sat X205-s9349
If i was taken would getting the faster ram modules increase my performance alot?

No, thats the correct frequency for DDR2 667 memory.

It's fine. DDR2 means Double Data Rate 2. So the effective data rate is double the base data rate - 2*333 = 666, so you're getting just what you're supposed to be getting.

ahhh ok... figured CPU-z would have compensated for that and showed the correct rate... appreciate the response...

It is showing the correct speed. The true clock speed is what CPU-Z shows you. DDR transfers 2 bits/cycle so it moves as much data as if it was twice the clock speed but it isn't truly running at 667mhz. Does that make sense?
