Hello again everyone...I came across a pretty nice Dell 17R N7010 that doesn't power on.. Well it was given to me so I figured I'd look into what might be the problem. Before that I figured since I am only missing one part I might as well get one before I start tearing this thing all apart to fix the power supply issue. It's a simple part that you'd think would be easy to find but so far it hasn't... It's the hard drive bracket / caddy. You guys know, the metal casing that the hard drive has the 4 tiny screws go into it to hold the hard drive steady...Well I have everything for it, a new 60gb SSD boot / OS drive, 640gb 7200 rpm HDD that came with it, and 8gb of DDR3 1333 12400 ram to max out the memory...The only thing I'm currently missing is the gosh darn hard drive assembly and I can't find it anywhere on the net! The stickers on the back of my 17R do not say anything like CCTR1 or 0CCTR1 and the one I ordered originally off eBay, I just ordered the hard drive bracket for a Dell Inspiron 17R N7010 thinking it would work. Little did I know there are 20 different models of this laptop...On the sticker with all chinese or japanes it says P08E001. I'm going to assume this is the number that matters? Also, I can't find the service manual for this identical notebook so I can't find a part number to look for..If anyone has any idea on where to order this part or where to get that service manual, I would much appreciate. Thanks everyone!!!
Jason

Are you not in the US? There are plenty of these on (US) eBay, and they aren't that expensive either...

Yes I'm in Michigan... This partcular hard drive bracket is not the common one on eBay... Look and try to find one that fits a Dell Inspiron 17R N7010 model P08E001 or try to find the service manual for it.... I'm starting to think this laptop came from out of country but the place it came from orignally was Staples because the guy who gave it to me seen the person who gave it to him buy it. One day it powered off and wouldn't turn on at all so it's been given away two times and now I have it. LOL

I added 3 pictures of the actual label on the back of the laptop

So you already tried CCTR1 and it didn't work? I'm looking at the N7010 service manual and some of these CCTR1 caddies, and it definitely looks like they are the right part. What does yours look like, and how doesn't it fit?

Thanks!!

Your caddy doesn't look like the CCTR1s on eBay:

... which do look like the one in the service manual:

Your seller definitely sent the wrong caddy.
I would buy another CCTR1 and make sure it looks like what's pictured above. -
So you think he sent the wrong caddy huh? Can you please send me a copy of that service manual? I sent the seller a message, I need a copy of that service manual, I'm not sure if I have it or not..
Thanks -

At least for the N7010, Dell doesn't seem to have a PDF copy of the service manual:

EDIT: I dunno what your original listing looked like, but it looks like you got an N7110 caddy:
