I need to bake my Quadro 3600m but I can't remove the metal plate that's attached to the thermal piping, even after loosening the screws, can anybody help?

Is it soldered on, because I've applied quite a bit of force with no luck!

It could be that a thermal glue was used. Try heating it up with a heat gun and slowly pry up the heatsink.

Judging by the stickers it is a Dell GPU. I didn't have much resistance removing my heatsink from my 8400M GS. Make sure all the screws are loosened enough. I doubt Dell used thermal glue, I've only seen thermal pads used.

Why not bake it just like that?

Maybe if you tighten the screws first, the BGA will be closer to the board and have a better chance of being successfully resoldered.

judging by the stickers? seriously LOL

I managed to remove it, but I wasn't adding enough force to it, turns out it was just the thermal compound and probably trapped air holding it together.

Baking it worked as well, laptop working good for now!

Cheers guys! and it was Dell well spotted!
