I have been having trouble keeping my cpu temp below 60c I have redone everything i could think of reseated heatsink replacing the grease, full cpu fan and even a big cooler fan and i went from 69c idling to 52c idling.
any other things that i should try?
here is a pic, if i have this correct "TMPIN0" is my Cpu?

Prescott's are damn near impossible to keep below 60c under full load unless you have liquid cooling or high end air cooling. Your room temp needs to be cool also.

my computer auto shuts off at 70c. what are the high end safe temps that i can run with it?

Will i be safe letting it got to 80c if i bypass the auto off at 70?

Pentium 4 based processors do not support undervolting. The first processors to support undervolting were the Intel Pentium M and the Athlon 64

You may want to upgrade your cpu fan or buy a larger heatsink.

You may want to move that 8800 ultra further from the cpu if possible, so that the heat it dumps out doesnt add to the processor temperature

This is desktop related so it may be closed soon
