Ok my hard drive is running nice and hot as usual (56c right now goes up to 60c) accodring to HDTUne this is hot but its a healthy drive (its a hitachi rather old also)

Also in speedfan which is what I use for temps also it has something called TEMP1 under the HD temp (this is under readings) it has a blue arrow with 29c does this mean I need to bring my temp down 29 degrees celsius or does this mean I am nice and cool and what is the reading for? The overall machine or the CPU?

You might want to consider getting a cooling pad for your notebook. I have a Coolermaster Notepal, and its all-metal construction lowers my hard drive temperature by 10 degrees C.

I would also recommend getting a cooling pad. I got a really cheap one off of new egg and it has helped alot. :)

Yes, consider a cooling pad and like flanken said the Cooler Master coolers seem to cool very well since they're aluminum.

Try to get yourself the widescreen version, it's the W1 I believe.

I'm looking to get one when I get some money.

    :D

    Cheers,
    Mike
