My hope is to that it is good enough for me to never have to repaste ever again also, with all the hassle. But still slightly sceptical. Any surpise for me would be positive![]()

I just bought it because it's shiny.

Based on my experience with the MetalPad, HeatSpring should be awesome.
Can't wait for it to reach you, flinginreborn2003 and flingin like this. -

Hi Peeps !
So here it comes Christmas Drama.
Well not actually drama, just the Parcel is delayed as the Estimate marked as Friday disappeared and now it says N/A, but the Parcel is on the move anyways, probably a delay caused by Christmas busy period
Anyways, MARRY CHRISTMAS !

So as everybody know it was a christmas time and i got held up by work and christmas rush, i can honestly say that i had.....no christmass at all, all the time at work. I will try to send the heatsprings on saturday, as tomorrow i work from 8am till 11pm, and the post office is open from 9am......trololol
reborn2003 and Trome71 like this. -
No prob. As long as it's still shiny when I get it.
I have the same issue. People get mad when I note in a for sale listing that I can't ship international. It's because I need to physically go to the post office to mail it and fill out forms, etc. My job doesn't make that very convenient. -
Should i use normal enevelope ? Or Bubble enevelope ? hmm...
-
All Heatsprings are prepared for postage, and now in enevelopes, with Adresses on them.
Only waiting for Sangemaru's Address, as by mistake i thought that i already have it.....reborn2003 likes this. -
Can't wait to see if better results happen from these. The idea is awesome but for now I have to stick with ICD as my go to TIM. Would love to have an easy to apply permanent TIM pad. Especially a high performance one.
-
I'm a bit skeptical for laptops but for desktop, should be a decent improvement. Just torque down that heatsink.
-
Well a very good paste will also do the trick but repaste would be needed at times.
Currently playing BF4 with 26X and 95/85 and hitting 92 on hottest core when playing extended periodes of time.
But i am using a fantray so it helps. -
@Trome71, what fantray are you using? I've been using a small rectangular box to prop the back up as the fantrays that I've tried didn't help (Zalman NC2000 and Coolermaster NotePal Infinite EVO).
-
The one i got was this. When i bought it it said to be for M17X too, but its the same tray and does not fit 100% on the M17. It looked less impressive when getting it, seems as an ikea laptoptray that they have added 4 akasa fans on.
But it really cools my computer.
Negatives, i get a bit to much angle on the computer, and its not possible to add a sort of filter to reduce the amount of dust in the computer.
I wanted to get one that did not add load to my PSU since we have high load already, having a supply from the wall with a small wall adaptor.Nospheratu likes this. -
Anyone got theirs yet so we can get a review?!
-
Sorry for slight delay peeps,
I might try mine out on Monday as well, as this will be my first day off since.....6 weeks

No prob for me.
Oddly enough after telling how well the paste did, the temps have increased slightly.
I now can hit 100 deg if i try same setting so im currently gaming at 25X and 90/85 again after using 26 for 2 weeks.
This sh@ite has got soul. -

All HeatSprings Sent Peeps !
Closest destination is Norway, from where @Throme comes from
I will test mine probably tomorrow, i had to send them VIA normal economy service, because even just slightly quicker/insured service started at 7USD per letter.
They should arrive to everyone within a week/10 days.reborn2003, triturbo, Nospheratu and 1 other person like this. -

Well, I got mine in the mail yesterday, but until new heat pads come I wont be opening my rig anytime soon. But bumping is a good thing

bro!Flingin, i got the package. I like the way they're packaged by HeatSpring, tucked in nice and safe.
I haven't gotten to test yet eitherreborn2003 and Nospheratu like this. -
Just received mine. Looks like an old fashioned film strip, lol. Will test and report back later!

CPU is definitely running too hot (idle 75-80C when it's normally 65-70C). GPU seems cool though. Clamp load must not be high enough. Maybe I'll use paste for the CPU and heatspring for the GPU. One square works nicely cut for CPU and GPU.
-
Hmm
...
And exact GPU temps ?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk -
GPU:
Temps deg C: IC Diamond / Heatspring
Idle 32 / 34
3DMark11 59 / 63
BF4 63 / 69
All I have time for now.
CPU would spike to 98C on a whim, and throttle like crazy if I ran anything. I just repasted the CPU and left heatspring on GPU and those are the temps above.
edit: I think my heatsink just doesn't have enough clamp force. GPU is about on par, slightly higher than thermal paste. CPU is way too high. I'll be trying on my desktop next with i5-3570K. Probably won't touch my GTX 670 since it runs quite cool as it is ~ 70C peak and it's a pita to disassemble and repaste. -
Hmm, this shows clearly that there is some contact issue between CPU/Heatsink, or just a tad less pressure comparing to GPU mount which causes Heat-Spring not to work as designed.....
