    Hi Guys,
Working on a HP tx1000 here, overheating problems. Looking to find where I can purchase some better thermal pads than what came stock or alternatively some help with copper shims to replace them with. The more I work with HP laptops, the more i think they dislike me personally :D

The pads are the foamy/waxy cream coloured type, looks to be about 1.5 mm between the relevant chipsets and the heatsink.. any direction appreciated.

    Thanks.

There are copper shims available on ebay. Just type in "copper shim". You will find plenty, especially for HP laptops.

Didn't think ebay, thanks man. Also found some pads on performance-pcs and frozencpu. Hope they'll be thick enough.
