I did some research on this site to find what processor I could upgrade to with my laptop. Now that I have it, I can't seem to get the case apart to get at the screws to remove the heat sink. I don't want to break anything, so if someone could help me with a guide I would be eternally grateful. I have an Acer Travelmate 2480 and I am somewhat a newbie when it comes to this.

Google nets several results. Perhaps you should check there.

I have done a google search and can't seem to find anything that helps me. I removed all the screws from the bottom of the laptop, but can't get the case apart. I don't know if I am missing something and was just wondering if there is a guide that anyone knows of that would help.

Ohkay. I have the AS3680 which has the same chasis, and mobo as the TM2480.
Well, at least I think they are the same. :p See if these vids help you....

Thanks for trying to help, Andy, but your link sends me to a playlist that either doesn't exist or I need to log into your account to see it.

Thank you so much Andy. The links here were awesome!! Some minor differences in the laptop in the video to mine, but nothing I couldn't figure out. Took me just over 1/2 an hour to put in my new processor and reboot. Immediately noticed the difference. :D You are the man!

Congrats! And yes sadly I must admit Andy is the man! Some of the knowledge and help he comes up with blows me away. Links, pictures, manuals just all over the map.
