    Help! 8600 gpu upgradable?

    [xx(] Please let me know if this is upgradable. If so can I just take it to Compusa and have them do it? Does this void their warranty? I have to make a decision tonight.

    I just saw part of this answer under the dell section. But I still need clarification. My sales rep today said that I could buy a card seperately and have dell install it under a service plan. Does this make any sense?

    the only Notebook Dell offers with an upgradeable GPU is the Inspiron XPS and any other notebook warranty would be voided if you messed with it. In addition, if you buy an XPS Dell you have to ship it back to Dell for the GPU to be upgraded.
