    Help. upon reinstalling windows xp on my dell laptop (Lattitude 600) a thin line apperas on the right hand side of the screen going from top to bottom? is there any fix for this?

    Um...hopefully it is not a line of dead pixels. Wait this happen after you reinstalled Windows? Try reinstalling your graphics driver.

    How old is the computer? I had this happen on my old computer because of the screen flex over time, at first it would go away, but it is now permanant (thank god for my nw V6j). Hopefully yours will go away.

    Yeah, I would try a graphics driver upgrade. That sounds like the ticket. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue. However, if it is fairly new you should be able to get a new screen put on there.
