    Hello,
I'm a proud owner of an ASUS G71Gx and am satisfied with this notebook except the display. It is WXGA+ resolution(1440 x 900) glossy. As I use the notebook in light rooms, the reflection in the screen is annoying. :( So, I want to change it to a matte LCD with WUXGA(1920 x 1200) resolution. To get a compatible screen, I need the model(for a LG Philips panel it starts with LP171WU1) of the display in an ASUS G71Gx with WUXGA resolution. This can be easily done with SIV(System Information for Windows) or HWiNFO32.
It would also be nice to get some opinions regarding the manufacturer of the best matte WUXGA LCD panel for the ASUS G71Gx. :)

I'd like to hear from You! :)

@Padme´ Thank You. The seller always wants to know which screen is already present. As I have a WXGA+, I can't supply this information. Therefore I need a model of a WUXGA panel build in the G71Gx.

    Two considerations for you:
    a) 138 US is a bargain, if it's the genuine item you cannot lose on a possible resale.
    b) Why is this screen discounted? Looks like half price (at least).

You'll find more informative answers by asking this in the ASUS forum.
