I have sony vaio ar 720 mode. When i bought laptop it came with 2 RAM sticks, each 1 GB (NANYA brand). I bought PNY RAM stick 2 GB. It was the same as mine - PC2-5300/667. I removed one stick and popped in PNY. Everything went fine, Vista showed i have 3 GB, Bios also showed there are 3 GB. Today i got BSOD. Using WinDBG i got this

*** Memory manager detected 6 instance(s) of page corruption, target is likely to have memory corruption.
    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.

    Arg1: 38881ce1, memory referenced
    Arg2: 00000002, IRQL
    Arg3: 00000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)

Then i launched windows memory diagnostic tool. Have to say i launched i after i put new RAM stick, and it showed everything is fine. However this time is shows hardware problem detected. I suppose there are some issues with my RAM. However apart from this single BSOD i don't experience any other problem. Haven't got any new BSODs.
Maybe i have to reinstall windows? Put old RAM stick back? Or what are options i can do?

    Would appreciate any help :(

run memtest on the new PNY RAM you just added to see if it is ok. Remove the other memory when you do the test
