    heres the laptop i own

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/specifications/index.aspx?m=VGN-A417S&l=en_GB (it sais SP2 on it but im going to install SP3 which is needed for the HD PVR to work aswell)

and heres the HD PVR system requirements

Hauppauge Computer Works Ltd : HD PVR

can someone please find me an intel for my laptop to work fully with the HD PVR...im not good with computers and pretty much dont understand anything like this so please no complicated phrases lol, i wont understand because i dont know anything about computers technical wise

and im not sure if i just need a new intel, do i need anything else or just the dual core cpu?

I don't think you'll be able to put a dual-core processor into your machine. If the computer didn't ship with one as an option, you almost certainly can't retrofit one due to BIOS compatibility issues.

You probably need a new laptop if you want to run that, unfortunately. You might consider a simple USB HD tuner, which may be able to work under your system requirements: Ask Engadget HD: What's the best USB HD tuner? -- Engadget HD
