Hi. I am trying to figure out how to get my laptop to play DVDs that I made from VHS tapes. I made the DVDs using a Panasonic DVD Recorder. I want to play them on my Dell computer but the media center doesn't recognize them. Additionally I bought Pinnacle Studio software to try and edit them, but that doesn't recognize them, either. I tried them on another DVD player and they worked, but I'm not sure why my laptop won't recognize them. This DVD stuff is so complicated! If anyone out there can help me or point me in the right direction on where to get smarter on this, I would certainly appreciate it.

Not sure about this, but you should try downloading VLC media player , go to File>Open from Disc and see if that works.
