    hi
i have to say im a bit dissapointed with my dell xps 1330..... i bought it in october, and i already had to format twice, and had to contact dell support followed by a visit from the technician, and having the motherboard replaced.

i have installed windos xp, and it was running normally.
after they changed the motherboard, the computer has been acting slower and sometimes even getting bolcked, running 3d programs like blender.

it has 2 gb of ram, which seem as 512 mb.....
its supposed to be high performance computers these xps.... mine is not

i attached a picture of my HD tune reading, i hope anyone can tell me what can i do to boost the coimputer a little bit. the reading i did it running only firefox and winamp, and the normal programs that run at the quickstart.

please can anyone help me with my computer?

there is also something really peculiar. i work at home with an 19" external monitor, and works just fine, games run ok also, but when i unplug the external, and run the same game/application using the lcd of the laptop, the game/application runs much slower........

    this is my pc:
    OS:windows XP
    t7250 @ 2.00 GHz
    2.00 GB RAM
    Nvidia 8400 gs 128 mb
    160 gb hard disk

Go to the start menu, and find the run command.
    Then type in msconfig.
Go to the services and startup tab. Then shut off processes, programs and services which you do not use. This will help free up system resurces, so that your system is using less cpu cycles, less background harddrive utilization, and less memory.
This will help speed up your system, and make it run much faster.

As for the graphics issue, I recommend going to laptopvideo2go's website and downloading the most recent drivers for your graphics card.
the drivers from nvidia's site suck, since they are for the entire series, so they are not performance tuned like the ones you get from laptopvideo2go
