I thought 4gb sticks are very expensive like £200 or $300

    what whizzo said....
check newegg, tigerdirect, and maybe ebay....highly doubt you will come close to that price, and if you do, buyer beware...

$180 is OK DDR800. Another thing your laptop must support 4GB sticks.
G50 from your sig supports max of 4GB total.

I have yet to see a 4GB DDR2-800 stick for $180. Try going up in price.

Those of us in the HDX Owner's community here just upgraded a bunch of our systems to 8gb with G-Skill 4gb modules, which we had to get sent to us from overseas as they've been next to impossible to find lately. Naturally of course, now that we have them, NewEgg shows up with them again this week. So start there first. We did have some extra sets, but they're on E-bay and likely gone by now.

As far as price goes - It was a lot more than $100 a module, so if that's what you're looking for forget it. $200 maybe.

As I said, NewEgg had them this past week again, but they might already be gone.

If your looking for a bargain price with your 4GB capacity stick you would need much luck in finding an online seller, I don't think that price is possible if you attempt to buy offline...
