    It's from my laptop's secondary HDD bay. Is it a regular SATA?

    SATAI and SATAII use the connector. SATAII is supplied on ICH8M or newer Intel I/O chipsets. SATAII HDDs/SSDs are backward compatible so can run on SATAI interfaces.
